Jo Lewis is currently a Mortgage Loan Originator at Liberty First Credit Union; Lewis has previously held the position of Regional Emerging Markets Manager for a national bank. At that time she trained and promoted FHA/First Time Homebuyer products to loan originators in six states, as well as trained in other Low to Moderate Income Mortgage Products. Over the past twenty plus years much of her lending emphasis was on First Time Home Buyer Products including NIFA Bond Authority loans; FHA, VA, USDA RD, Conventional, and
CRA Portfolio Product Loans.
 
ExperiencePast educator experience included accredited classes through Nebraska Real Estate Commission in Real Estate Finance; new agent training; several Homebuyer Seminars for the general public as well as finance training for real estate agents. Jo currently holds a Nebraska Real Estate Brokers License, has earned the Graduate of Realtor Institute Certification and is the past President (2011-2012) of the Nebraska Mortgage Association.
 
Service Lewis has served in the past on the FannieMae House Nebraska Advisory Board; Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity Board; Past President (2011-2012) Nebraska Mortgage Association including 2008 Education Chair; Homebuilders Association of Lincoln having held the positions of Board Secretary and Second Vice-President; Realtor Association of Lincoln; and Women's Council of Realtors. Outside activities related to housing include the Unadilla, Nebraska Planning Commission, Task Force for Development of Williamsburg Lincoln City Park and past Lincoln City Task Force/Development of housing energy standards.

Jo has been a former recipient of the Lincoln Board of Realtors, Outstanding Affiliate Award; Dan Peterson Affordable Housing Award, and the Home Builders Association Associate of the Year Award as well as the Nebraska Mortgage Association Lender of the Year Award.
