Good to know

Budgeting isn’t an alert system

If you go over budget, Wellness+ shows the overspending visually on your spending chart. It does not send a notification or alert.

Your information stays with your setup

Turning Wellness+ off hides the Wellness+ screens, but it does not delete your budgets, savings goals or history. Your information returns if you turn Wellness+ back on.

Categories can be corrected

If a transaction is categorized incorrectly, you can change the category and choose to apply the correction to future similar transactions.

No net worth score

Wellness+ provides information about spending, income and debt, but it does not provide a single net-worth figure or financial wellness score.

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t I see Wellness+?

Make sure you’ve turned Wellness+ on and selected accounts to include. In the mobile app, you must also accept the Wellness+ terms. If you’ve completed those steps and still don’t see it, contact Liberty First for help.

What if I’m in a rush and want to skip the onboarding steps?

No problem at all! You can dismiss the onboarding prompts and continue with you r regular banking. You won’t see the Wellness+ features until you complete the setup, but we’ll gently remind you to finish setting things up the next time you log in.

Which accounts will Wellness+ use?

Wellness+ will only use the data from the accounts you specifically choose during setup. Transactions from these selected accounts are the ones that get categorized and included in your spending analysis, budgets, and goal tracking..

Can I add accounts from other Financial Institutions?

Yes, you certainly can! Just click the “Add external account” button and follow the simple prompts to securely link your accounts from other banks or credit unions.

Why aren’t my external account transactions showing yet?

Account linking can take up to an hour. If information is still missing well after that, you may need to reconnect the account.

How does Wellness+ categorize my transactions?

Wellness+ automatically categorize your transactions based on the merchant or description. It uses smart algorithms and machine learning (provided by Plaid) to place your spending into helpful categories like groceries, entertainment, bills, and more.

Why is a transaction in the wrong spending category?

Wellness+ automatically categorizes transactions, but an occasional transaction may be categorized incorrectly. You can change the category and choose to apply the correction to future similar transactions.

Why is something showing as a subscription when I don’t consider it one?

Wellness+ identifies recurring payment patterns. A regularly repeating payment may be recognized as a subscription even if you don’t think of it that way. You can mark it as no longer tracked.

Where aren’t Subscriptions and Debt Management in the mobile app?

Those two features are currently available in online banking only.

How can I view my spending analysis?

Click the Spending Trend Widget on your Home Screen to head over to the “Spending Analysis” page. Here, you’ll get insights into your finances, including charts and reports showing your total income and spending over the last 12 months, plus breakdowns by category and merchant.

Is the spending analysis real-time?

Your spending analysis gets a fresh update every day. Because Wellness+ needs t o gather and process transactions from all your linked accounts, it doesn’t update t he instant a transaction happens. You can always find a timestamp within Wellness+ showing exactly when your data was last refreshed, so you know you’re looking at the latest complete update.

How do I create a budget?

Setting up a budget is easy! Head to the “Budget & Spending” page, click “Create Budget” and set spending limits for the categories you want to track, and Wellness+ will help you monitor your spending against those limits.

Can I create multiple budgets?

Right now, you can set up one main budget to track your spending across different categories. Being able to create multiple budgets (like one for monthly spending an d another for a specific project) is definitely on our radar, and we’re exploring adding this feature down the road.

Will I be notified when I go over budget?

No. Overspending is shown on the spending chart when you view it, but Wellness+ does not send an alert when a budget is exceeded.

Can I edit my budget after it has been set?

Yes, for sure! You can tweak your budget limits whenever you need to. Just go into the “Budget & Spending” page and click “Edit Budget” to make adjustments.

How can I disable Wellness+ if I decided not to use it?

If you decide Wellness+ isn’t for you right now, you can easily disable it through your profile settings. Just navigate to the “Wellness+” tab in the settings menu and choose the “Disable” option. This will hide all the Wellness+ widgets and features from your app view.
